Three Youths Charged with Robbery

charged three youths in relation to a robbery which occurred in
Dartmouth last week.
 
On January 24 at 6:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery
on Collins Grove. A 23-year-old woman reported that she was followed by
several male youths after exiting a Metro Transit bus. The youths
approached her from behind, pulled her hood over her head and pushed her
to the ground. The suspects took the victim's shoulder bag which
contained several items. The area was checked but the suspects couldn't
be located.
 
After a complete investigation by police, three youths were located and
arrested over the weekend in connection with the incident.  A search of
a residence in Preston area resulted in the stolen items being returned
to the woman.
 
Two youths, aged 15, face robbery and various breach related charges. A
16 year-old youth faces a robbery charge. All three are scheduled to
appear in Halifax Youth Court on February 9, 2012.
