HRM has received permission from NS Environment to remove some of the largest stones from the swimming areas in Paper Mill Lake.
HRM will undertake this work in addition to upgrading the paths, steps, retaining walls, etc in our parks on the lake. Negotiations are continuing on some other ideas!
The dam is owned by the Annapolis Group and regulated by the federal government, and the lake is regulated by the provincial government. HRM is taking advantage of the lowering of the lake to improve the park and lake public access points.
