Time For The Yearly Jab

October's here, the leaves are falling and germs are spreading. With cold and flu season fast upon us the Dept. of Health is reminding Nova Scotians to get their yearly flu shot --- especially those at risk. These include, the elderly, the very young, pregnant women, people with respiratory problems and those with compromised immune systems.

Haligonia's Femi Odusanya went down to the Northwood Centre yesterday to watch as Health Minister Maureen MacDonald and Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Robert Strang got the first jabs of the season. A reminder that the vaccine is  free to all Nova Scotians again this year and is protective against the H1N1 strain.
