Today is the day I get my life back on track

Actually, yesterday was the day that I started to get my life back on track and it all started with my healthy self.

Over the past 5 months, life has been crazy! I’ve been homeless. I gave up my dog. I’ve lived in London, UK. I’ve travelled Europe. I got flights cancelled and trips cancelled because of “snow”.  I got home for Christmas when I didn’t think I would. I moved back to Canada. I was homeless again. I got a new home. I got my dog back. I put on 12 lbs. Whew…  As crazy as it’s all been, the great thing is that I can say I loved almost every second of it (except I really missed Coco!).

Now that I’m back in Canada and we finally have a place of our own to live, things can start to get back to normal.  We finished our move Thursday and have been unpacking and getting settled in over the past few days.  This means that there is finally a bit of normality is back in our lives.  Monday was the first time I ate healthy at every meal in 5 months and yesterday was our first day back to the gym in 11 days.

Lately I haven’t been able to get to the gym, I haven’t been eating well and even though I tried to be healthy with Jansober, that fell through on the weekend after day 21.  If you’ve ever tried to move and unpack without having a beer or glass of wine to calm your nerves, you know and should understand why this fell through after 21.

Now, partner all of this up with the eating and drinking I did while in Europe and what was consumed back home over Christmas… Let’s just say I’m feelin’ kind of “fluffy” these days.  I’m feeling a bit sluggish and not myself for all of the reasons above, so I’m really looking forward to having some kind of a routine in my life again.

How do you deal with your routine being messed up? Does your diet suffer? Your gym time? Family time? Or are you able to balance your life and your routines when things get all effed up?
