Traffic Advisory: Bum Run Event in Dartmouth

Residents and motorists should prepare for traffic delays this Saturday, May 25, due to the annual Bum Run event. The run will start at Sullivan’s Pond Park at 8:40 a.m. and is expected to continue until noon.

Event Route and Traffic Impact:

  • The run will commence at Sullivan’s Pond Park, turning north onto Crichton Avenue.
  • It will then proceed east onto Glen Manor Drive, continuing onto Mic Mac Boulevard.
  • Participants will turn right onto Brookdale Crescent and follow the trail loop around Lake Banook to Graham’s Grove.
  • The route will use the Prince Albert Road multi-use trail and continue south onto Nowlan Street, crossing Hawthorne Street at the marked crosswalk, before concluding back at Sullivan’s Pond Park.

Motorists should anticipate delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes wherever possible.

Over the past 13 years, this 5K walk/run has successfully raised over $1.2 million for various colon cancer charity organizations.
