Nova Scotia RCMP will escort motorcycle travelling throughout the province this weekend, June 11 and 12, as part of Canada’s 911 Ride.
Canada’s 911 Ride is an annual police-escorted motorcycle ride to raise funds to help families of fallen emergency service personnel, help children who are victims of violent crimes, and provide public access to defibrillators within local communities.
This year’s Atlantic Ride takes 70 participants through the South Shore and Peggys Cove area on June 11. Riders will depart Halifax at 8:30 a.m., and head to Peggys Cove, then to Lunenburg and Bridgewater via Highway 3. Riders will return to Halifax via Highway 103 and finish for the day at 4 p.m.
On June 12, the route will take riders through the Annapolis Valley, departing Halifax at 9 a.m., heading to Kentville via Highway 1 and returning to Halifax by 3 p.m. via Highway 101.
