Thursday, Feb. 11, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that there may be some traffic delays in the Sackville area on the morning of Monday, Feb. 15, as the parade for the Sackville Snow Days winter festival travels through the community.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Royal Canadian Legion on Sackville Cross Road. The parade will head north, turning right onto Sackville Drive, and then heading east to the Rock Church at 222 Sackville Dr. The event is expected to wrap up by about 10:30 a.m.
RCMP will be on scene during the parade to help direct traffic. Motorists should expect some delays and are asked to use alternative routes, if possible.
The Sackville Snow Days winter festival runs from Feb. 12-15 at a variety of locations across the community. Hosted by the Sackville Business Association, the festival features winter events for all ages, including skating, a snowman contest, dances and a scavenger hunt.
