Traffic Resumes on Herring Cove Rd. Near Scene of Fatal Bicycle Accident

Halifax Regional Police are on-scene of a fatal collision that occurred in Halifax this morning.
 
At 8:39 a.m., officers responded to a collision between a truck and a cyclist at the intersection of Purcells Cove Road and Spinnaker Drive.  A propane truck struck a female cyclist who was travelling in the area, and she died as a result of her injuries. Police are attempting to identify the victim at this time.   
 
The Accident Investigation Unit is still on-scene, and Purcells Cove Road between Spinnaker Drive and Herring Cove Road will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
