Traffic Stop Results In Weapons Charges

Shortly before 10:00pm officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling in the 0-100 block of Rolekia Drive occupied by three men.  The driver of the vehicle was arrested for impaired driving at the time of the stop and further investigation yielded a firearm inside the vehicle.  Two 22 year old passengers, along with a the 20 year old driver were arrested for numerous weapon related charges and breaches of court orders.  The driver of the vehicle is also being charged with impaired driving.  The men are all currently still in custody with Halifax Regional Police and the investigation is ongoing.
