Traffic: Lane drops on Hwy 103, Rocky Lake Drive, Nantucket Ave and others this week (Jul 7 2025 update)

Halifax drivers, here’s your traffic outlook for the week ahead.

Several construction projects are scheduled between July 7 and July 11, with varying impacts across highways and local roads. Here’s what’s happening:

July 7–11 – Hwy 103 Southbound at the Hwy 102/103 Interchange

Expect lane drops daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting today and continuing through Friday, July 11. Crews will be working in the southbound lanes near the interchange.

July 7 (until 4:00 p.m.) – Barrington Street

Halifax Water crews are conducting a sewer main repair near 986 Barrington Street. Stop-and-go traffic will be in effect throughout the day.

July 8–11 (24/7) – Barrington Street

Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, repair work near 986 Barrington Street will continue around the clock until approximately 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11.

Stop-and-go traffic will remain in place, with traffic control personnel on site. Sidewalks will stay open. Drivers are urged to use alternate routes and reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

July 8 – Rocky Lake Drive

On Tuesday morning, road work will restrict traffic on Rocky Lake Drive between Duke Street and civic 426. Expect stop-and-go conditions from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

July 8 – Nantucket Avenue

Lane drops will be in place Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. between Wyse Road and Victoria Road for scheduled repair work.

Stay alert in construction zones and give yourself extra time if you’re headed through these areas.
