Transition Town – Two Day Workshop

Transition Bay St Margarets offers Training For Transition, a two-day workshop introducing the “Transition Town” model of local response to global challenges. Participants will learn how to: initiate a transition group in the community; build awareness of peak oil, climate change and economic instability; and engage citizens from all walks of life in neighborhood or community projects. Addressing both the practice and the theory of Transition, participants will leave the session better equipped to offer transition leadership in their own communities. This workshop is for anyone interested in strengthening a community-wide response to fossil fuel dependence, climate change and/or economic instability. Participant Cost is $150 ($60 for people under 30). For more information:  transitionbay.ca   Robert Cervelli, 222-4391 (cell), robert.cervelli@gmail.com. To register, contact David Wimberly, davidwimberly@eastlink.ca. Offered in partnership with the St. Margaret’s Bay Stewardship Association and supported by a grant from the Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia. Note that total enrollment is strictly limited to 30, and early registration is recommended.
