Government release:
Transport Canada has issued two separate vehicle recall notices.
Tesla Recall (ID: 2023595): Tesla has issued a recall for certain Model S and Model X vehicles from 2021, 2022, and 2023 due to airbag issues. The recall affects the following models:
- 2021 Tesla Model S
- 2021 Tesla Model X
- 2022 Tesla Model S
- 2022 Tesla Model X
- 2023 Tesla Model S
- 2023 Tesla Model X
After replacements from yoke to round steering wheels (or vice versa), the wrong airbag may have been installed, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. Tesla will contact owners for an inspection and possible airbag replacement.
Honda Recall (ID: 2023593): The 2023 Honda Pilot has been recalled due to a steering issue. The steering gearbox might have been incorrectly manufactured, potentially causing the steering rack to lock up while driving, increasing crash risks. Honda will reach out to owners for a gearbox replacement.
