It is only fair after I told you about Elf’s new face products targeting acne (Acne Fighting foundation and Blemish Control primer) that I show you Trisan antibacterial skin cleanser, sent to me with love by my favorite PR person.

You might have heard that Triclosan is an antibacterial agent that fights a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (i.e. bacteria that give a positive or negative result in the Gram stain test which identifies a bacterial organism), yeasts and molds, proven to be safe to use in cosmetic products below 0.3%.

This cleanser contains 0.25% Triclosan, with very mild foaming action, to removes oil, dirt and make-up without drying out the acne proned skin.

No bells or whistles with both the packaging and the clear gel-like texture inside, but it does exactly what it promises to do. It is the only cleanser I reach for during those horrible breakouts I have and the skin feels clean, soft and calm after. Nothing wrong with basic when it works, plus the extra care for the blemishes.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Glyceryl Acrylate/ Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Sodium Lauroryl Sarcosinate, Nonoxynol-9, Triclosan, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium Edta, R-130510.

Trisan cleanser is oil/ soap/ perfume/ alcohol-free, available in 225ml with a pop up lid, retails around $10 at most drugstores. There is also the 500ml size with a pump.
