Try some of the city’s most popular beers and ciders, minus the alcohol

Via release:

Halifax has always had a reputation for being a town that loves its pubs and breweries, with alcohol woven into its social scene. From the waterfront bars to local craft beer festivals, it’s hard to avoid the drinking culture here. But let’s be real—not everyone wants to be a part of that, and still socialize with those that do.

For those of us who are stepping away from the usual rounds of drinks or just looking for a different way to have fun, Sober September is a perfect fit.

The event takes place on Thursday September 26, 7pm – 9pm.

Located at the beautiful Steele Wheels Motor Museum, this event is more than just a fun night out; it’s a space for people who choose not to drink to come together, learn about non-alcoholic beverages, and even do a bit of networking. (And check out some amazing exotic and vintage cars and trucks!)

Popular local cider brand Lake City Cider will be one of the vendors at Sober September on Thursday.

“This event is all about embracing a different kind of social experience,” says Jennifer Holm, operations manager of Steele Wheels. “We want to create an environment where people who don’t drink can connect, enjoy some incredible non-alcoholic beverages, and learn about pairing those drinks with great food, like artisanal cheeses.”

With non-alcoholic offerings from local favorites like Chill Street Craft Beverage Co. and Lake City Cider, along with light snacks and cheese pairings, the event provides a way to socialize and discover new options beyond alcohol. “Whether you’re here to network or just want to learn more about alcohol-free alternatives, we want to show that there’s still plenty of ways to enjoy Halifax’s vibrant scene,” Holm adds.

It’s the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people, explore local non-alcoholic options, have some light snacks, and have a great time in a supportive and relaxed setting.
