Twelve people arrested in drug raids

Halifax Regional PoliceTwelve people were arrested and quantities of marijuana and illegal prescription drugs were seized by police during the search of nine residences early today.

The searches were part of Operation Implicate, a month-long investigation by Halifax Regional Police targeting street level trafficking of crack cocaine, marijuana and illegal prescription drugs in the North Dartmouth area.

The 10 men and two women arrested range in age from 22 to 57. They were arrested without incident this morning and were scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court Wednesday afternoon to face drug charges under the Controlled Drugs & Substances Act (CDSA).
