Update: Police charge two men in home invasion
Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged two men for a break and enter and a home invasion that occurred last night and this morning at the same residence in Halifax.
Halifax Regional Police were called to the 5000 block of Harvey Street in response to a home invasion just after 630pm. The callers reported that multiple persons forced their way in their residence and stole some items. Police arrived and completed their preliminary investigation and forensic work. At approximately 1:00am officers were continuing their investigation offsite, police received another call from the same residents at the same address informing police the suspects had returned and forced their way in the home again.
Officers attended and arrested a 22 year old Halifax man onscene and another 19 year old man who attempted to flee after jumping out a second storey window. Both males are currently in police custody and the investigation is continuing.
