At 9:27 p.m. police attended the corner of Quinpool Rd. and Oxford St. in Halifax for a report of a male armed with a knife.
Police determined that two males, not known to each other, had gotten into a verbal dispute at the bus stop at this location. The dispute turned physical and one of the males puled a knife on the other one stabbing him in the hand. While the victim of the stabbing was holding down the male with the knife a second male began punching him.
The victim, a 27 year old male, was transported to hospital with a non-life threatening injury to his hand. He has since been treated and released.
A 25 year old male and a 51 year old male were taken into custody by police and charges are anticipated.
