Two break and enters at Halifax schools

Halifax Regional Police are investigating 2 early morning Break and Enters in Halifax.

At approximately 2:35 a.m., officers responded to a commercial intrusion alarm – Halifax Central Junior High located at 1787 Preston Street in Halifax. Once onscene, police noted signs of a Break and Enter where entry was gained. The interior was searched with no persons located.

Minutes later at approximately 2:40 a.m. a second commercial alarm was reported at Sir Charles Tupper School located at 1930 Cambridge Street in Halifax. Police contained the area and searched the interior with the assistance of a police service dog. At the time of the search, no suspects have been located.

Both matters are currently under investigation by members of the Halifax Regional Police Central Patrol Division.
