Two charged after break and enter with assault in Halifax

On February 4, 2018 Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an altercation taking place inside a residence in the area of the 3400 Block of McAlpine Ave in Halifax. After further investigation it was determined that a male had broken into the residence and was fighting with a male inside. During the incident both males suffered non life threatening injuries. One of the males also suffered a non life threatening stab wound. Both males were taken into custody without incident.

As a result of the incident a 53 year old male will face charges of Break and Enter and assault. A second male 23, will face charges of Aggravated Assault, Assault with a weapon and various other weapons offences.

Both males will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on February 4, 2018.
