Two flee car crash, firearm discovered

At 1:50 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a 2 car motor vehicle accident in the area of Old Sambro Rd and Northwest Arm Dr.

No one was injured in the accident but 2 males who were in one of the vehicles fled the area in to an adjacent wooded area. These 2 males, ages of 21 and 19 years old, were apprehended a short time later. Halifax Regional Police K-9 unit conducted a search of the wooded area and a firearm was located. At this time no charges have been laid and the matter is still under investigation.
