Two in custody after waterfront shooting

At​ 8:27 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to​ multiple reports of gun shots in the area of Lower Water Street and Sackville Street. Officers were quickly on scene but failed to locate a victim or suspect in the area.​

Shortly after,​ a 17-year-old youth was dropped off at the QE2 health center​ suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Officers located a vehicle believed to be involved in this incident in the​ 600 block of Main​ Street in Dartmouth and took​ two suspects in custody.

The investigation in its early stages and Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing the investigation. No charges have been laid.
