At approximately 2 p.m., RCMP received a call that one vehicle deliberately rammed another vehicle which prompted an altercation involving weapons between two adult males. When officers arrived on scene, two men were immediately arrested.
A 23-year-old Weymouth male, who was a passenger in the first car, has been released and charges are pending.
The other male, the driver of the second vehicle, Thomas Avery Amirault, 18, of Yarmouth is appearing in Yarmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of Dangerous Driving, Possession of a weapon, three counts of Assault with a Weapon, and two counts each of Breach of Undertaking and Breach of Probation.
