Police are looking for two suspects after shots were fired at an apartment in Halifax.

At approximately 130 am, Police responded to Evans Avenue in Halifax in relation to shots being fired. Upon arrival on scene a 25 year old female was found shot. It was learned that two males knocked on her door identifying themselves as police. When the occupants opened the door they observed a firearm, and a white male wearing a red bandana, they then quickly attempted to shut the door. The two persons outside attempted to push in the door. It was at this point firearm rounds were shot into the apartment, the female occupant was hit. The victim's injuries are serious but not life threatening. The victim is being treated for her injuries currently at the QEII Hospital. No one else in the apartment was injured. Police searched for the two suspects who fled the area on foot but were unable to locate them.
There is a limited description of two white males, one wearing a red bandana, and both wearing baggy dark clothing.
