Two overnight incidents: Arrest made after golf course joy ride / Youth arrested after robbing woman

On September 10th at 9:22 pm Halifax Regional Police received a call about a vehicle that was on the golf course at Brightwood Golf Course.

Officers located a vehicle on the 16th hole that had became hung up on an embankment. The driver was arrested after the investigation revealed that he was not there for nighttime round of golf.

A 30 year old male will be attending court at a later date to face an impaired driving charge, driving with a blood alcohol over the legal limit and property damage.

The damage to the golf course was confined to a small area of the 16th green.


On September 11th at 12:46 am a female was walking the area of Wyse Rd and Albro Lake Rd , Dartmouth.

The female encountered a male and was assaulted and robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.

The female suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

A male youth was arrested in the area and will be appearing in court for face a charge of Robbery.
