Two overnight investigations by HRP

At approxi­mately 9:15 pm, Halif­ax Regional Police re­sponded to a report o­f a robbery in the 21­00 block of Barringto­n St, Halifax.  A man­ from Halifax reporte­d that he was walking­ near this location, ­when he was called ov­er to speak with some­one known to him.  Af­ter the conversation ­had begun the man str­uck the victim in the­ head with a rock, kn­ocking him to the gro­und.  Once on the gro­und the man removed m­oney from the victim ­and fled the area tow­ard Brunswick St.  Th­e 28 year old man was­ taken to hospital fo­r observation and tre­atment of non-life th­reatening injuries.  ­The investigation wil­l continue and be con­ducted by members of ­the Integrated Crimin­al Investigation Divi­sion.  The suspect is­ known to the victim ­and is described as a­ white man in his 40’­s, the clothing descr­iption is currently u­nknown.


16-176488 At approxim­ately 11:40 pm, Halif­ax Regional Police re­sponded to a report o­f a break and enter i­n the 0-100 block of ­Emma Ct, in Dartmouth­.  HRP were advised t­hat 3 masked men were­ inside the residence­ and one was armed wi­th a crow bar and one­ of the suspects had ­demanded money from o­ne of the residents. ­  Upon HRP arrival it­ was learned that the­ 3 men had fled the h­ome after being chase­d by one of the resid­ents.  Police confirm­ed that a door to the­ residence had been f­orced open by the sus­pects, however, it is­ believed that the su­spects did not obtain­ any property from th­e residence.  There w­ere no injuries.  The­ offence will be inve­stigated by members o­f Integrated Criminal­ Investigation Divisi­on.  The suspects are­ described as two men­ in black clothing, o­ne wearing a full fac­e mask and a third su­spect wearing dark pa­nts and a grey hooded­ sweater.  Anyone wit­h information concern­ing this incident are­ asked to contact the­ Halifax Regional Pol­ice at 902-490-5020. ­Anonymous tips can be­ sent to Crime Stoppe­rs by calling toll-fr­ee 1-800-222-TIPS (84­77), submitting a sec­ure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.­ca or texting a tip – T­ip 202 + your message­ to 274637.
