Police Charge Two Drivers with Stunting – Bedford

At 10:40 p.m. on the 15th of December, Halifax Regional Police observed two vehicles driving at a high rate of speed on the Bedford Highway, toward Sackville.  Police stopped the vehicles on the 101 Highway and 102 Highway.

A 28-year-old male from Halifax and an 18-year-old male from Hammonds Plains were charged with Stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act, a charge that is automatically laid when a vehicle is travelling more than 50 km/h over the speed limit.  In addition, both drivers are suspended from driving for one week and their vehicles were seized.

Police Investigate Break & Enter  – Halifax

3:18 a.m., on the 16th of December, Halifax Regional Police responded to a Break & Enter in progress ion the 6100 block of Duncan Street Halifax.  Police located and arrested an adult male and adult female outside the residence.  While investigating the Break & Enter officers discovered a large quantity of Marijuana plants.  Police arrested tenant for cultivation and the residence has been secured for a Drug Search Warrant.

Investigators with the Drug Unit and Forensic Identification Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are currently investigating and the investigation is ongoing.
