HRP release:
On June 13 at approximately 1:50 p.m. police responded to Withrod Drive in Halifax for a report that two people staying in the residence were found unresponsive, but breathing. Upon arrival, officers located a man and a woman, a loaded handgun and a large quantity of cash. The weapon and cash were seized. Both suspects were woken up and taken into custody without incident.
Raheem Munroe, 33, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:
- Possession of a firearm\prohibited or restricted obtained by crime
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a firearm – no license/certificate
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Store firearm or restricted weapon contrary to regulations
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order/fail to surrender (x2)
- Failure to comply with condition of release order (x4)
Daejiah Johnson, 27, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of:
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition obtained by crime
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a firearm – no license/certificate
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Store firearm or restricted weapon contrary to regulations
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
