Help RCMP find stolen trailer
Halifax District RCMP is asking for public help to locate a stolen trailer. The trailer was stolen between 9:30 a.m. on November 24 and 9 a.m. on November 25 from a work site on Lower Governor St. in East Preston.
The trailer is a 2017 stainless steel 14-foot long BRIMAR trailer. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the trailer is # 58CB1DC25HC004562.

Stunting driver clocked at 168 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone
The Halifax District RCMP charged a driver for stunting on November 27. A member was out conducting regular patrols on Hwy. 102 near Fall River just before 11 a.m. when they noted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The RADAR was activated and the driver’s speed was noted to be 168 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone, 68 km/hr over the posted speed limit. The police officer stopped the vehicle, and charged the driver, a 47-year-old man from Pictou, for stunting. The vehicle was seized and towed, and the driver’s licence was suspended for seven days.
The fine for stunting in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50. Nova Scotia RCMP want to remind the public that speed is one of the major causes of serious injury and fatal collisions on our roads. Road Safety is a priority for the RCMP, and drivers are reminded to make it their priority as well.
