Two Robberies At Height Of Snowstorm

 

At 4:54 pm this evening Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at 194 Chain Lake Dr. The Bouclair store.
A lone male entered the store and demanded cash. He produced an imitation gun, the female employee did not give him any money, he fled from the store.
Suspect description is a black male, 5'7, stocky build, wearing dark clothing, with a black ski mask pulled over his face.
Approximately 40 minutes later at 5:40 pm, a second robbery occurred at the NS Liquor Commission store at 6990 Mumford Rd. Halifax. A black male demanded cash from the cashier at the Liquor Store, a handgun was observed and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. The suspect description is similar to the first robbery.
The Halifax Regional Police and RCMP Integrated General Investigative Section members are continuing the investigation, anyone with information about this matter can contact investigators at  490-5016.
