Two robberies overnight

Police are looking for suspects in two separate robberies that occurred overnight.

On 20110221 @ 8:10 pm the HRP responded to a robbery that occurred in the area of Mountain Ave / Lakecrest Drive, Dartmouth.  An 18 year old male was approached by 3 males, one of which produced a knife, and they demanded his IPOD and money.  The suspects made off with the iPod and a small amount of cash  from the victim. A K-9 track proved negative and there were no reported injuries to the victim. The matter will be under investigation.

On 20110221 @ 2:05 am the HRP responded to a robbery that occurred at the Bluenose motel located at 636 Bedford Highway, Bedford. A male entered the motel and indicated to the female clerk that he had a weapon (none displayed) and demanded money. The clerk handed the male an amount of cash and he fled the area. The HRP apprehended the suspect a short distance away and he was arrested for robbery and will appear in HFX provincial court to face charges.
