Two Thrown Off Motorcycle Down Embankment

At 1040 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a call of a single vehicle accident in the 600 block of Purcell’s Cove Rd.  it appears that a motorcycle carrying two people was travelling inbound on Purcell’s Cove Rd when it failed to negotiate a turn and struck a guardrail. Both passengers were thrown off of the motorcycle, over the guardrail and down an embankment. HRM Fire and EHS also attended the call. The two parties on the motorcycle, a 21 year old male and a 19 year old female, were taken to the QE2 by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries.
