Txting ends with car on it’s roof, brouhaha at the Rodeo

Things get out of hand at a bar in Burnside, and a reminder that using your cellphone while driving isn’t a safe practice.

Disturbance

Rodeo Lounge. At approximately 2215 hours police were called to this location regarding a disturbance at this location.  There were 5-6 males involved in a scuffle. 4 were arrested for Section 87 LCA, and one for assault. Police will need video evidence for further charges, however, it was not available at time of call.

Arson

Police were called at 2246 hours to assist the Fire Department with a small fire started under a deck of the 6300 block North Street. There is garbage and assorted material stored under the deck by residents and person(s) unknown deliberately set these items on fire. Minimal damage as no exellerant was used.

Injured person

A male in his 50’s  was located approximately 100 ft before the 103 interchange. The male had a large wound to the back of his head. Male appeared unresponsive when first encountered. He was transported to QE2 via ambulance. Accident investigation and Identification Section  called out as it was not apparent at the time what circumstances caused the injuries and placed the victim at the location.

Motor Vehicle Accident

At approximately 0345 hrs police were called to a motor vehicle accident  wherein the vehicle had struck a tree and landed on its roof. Upon arrival at Elwin Drive police learned the 22 year old female driver was texting while driving and this was a contributing factor to the accident. No injuries.
