Umi was featured in the Natural Mommie Green Gift Guide over Christmas and here they are again back with even more adorable spring/summer styles for little boys and girls. Umi is a green company and cares for little feet and for the earth and they’ve set they standards sky-high. Every shoe they make is tested for safety and durability and meets strict guidelines for child-safe materials. They also use only non-toxic drum-dyed leathers and other environmentally friendly components. Then everything is protected in recycled packaging.
For Spring/Summer this year we went with the Nyoni in Chocolate.
Aidan’s 3.5 and the size 10 fits him great with a little bit of growing room left in the toes. They’re incredibly well made, durable and play really hard with Aidan. He’s been wearing them for a month now and he hasn’t had any blisters, no complaints of sore toes and the sandal continues to look new!
This isn’t a flimsy sandal by any means – it’s supportive and has a comfortable footbed made with Umi-Tex. Water friendly technology and rubber outsoles tackle friction and allow smooth-stepping on both wet and dry terrain just like a nice adult hiking sandal. The heel strap is padded and fully adjustable and they stay put during walks and while playing at the playground. FYI, this is not a playground below, it’s a piece of antique farm equipment 😉 Grippy soles are a must for my little climber!
Aidan is so proud that he can put his sandals on all by himself and I’m happy because this saves me an extra step when trying to get everyone out the door! The Nyoni sandals are $60 and you can find them here.
