The Bedford United Church organized a rally in support of the Global Wake Up the Leaders on Climate Change last month.
Led by Reverend David Hart, members of the church and community met on September 21 to hold up signs on the Bedford Highway urging government leaders to take action on climate change.
The event was in solidarity with actions that took place around the world that day. It was also held to build support for the International Day of Action on Climate Change on October 24 (www.350.org) and to raise awareness about the important climate change meeting that will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark in December of this year (http://en.cop15.dk/).
