Unlocked vehicles make for easy targets in Valley area of Colchester County, Colchester, N.S.

Colchester District RCMP is investigating a number of thefts from vehicles that occurred overnight in the Valley areas of Lexington and Burris Drives. The individual(s) responsible are believed to be accessing unlocked vehicles and taking valuables left inside.

If anyone has any information pertaining to these thefts or have had items stolen from a vehicle, please contact the Colchester District RCMP at 902-893-6820. Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award from $50 – $2000.

The RCMP would like to remind residents to ensure that all valuables are removed from vehicles and that the doors are locked. Report any suspicious persons or activity in your area to the Colchester District RCMP.
