North End Halifax residents got a surprise yesterday morning as they awoke to a loud noise coming from the Oland Brewery on Agricola Street. CTV Atlantic is reporting that the strange rumbling sound was caused during a routine vacuum procedure at the facility.
A spokesperson for Oland's said that the sound was an error and acknowledged that as a result the brewery was in violation of the HRM noise bylaw stating that loud activities can not take place until after 9am on a Sunday. We're asking all our North End readers if they heard anything strange yesterday morning? If so, how loud was it? What did you think it was and how long did it last for?
