Upcoming bridges closures / lane closures

Macdonald Bridge

There will be four four-hour closures of the Macdonald Bridge. The sidewalk and bike lane will​ be​ open. These closures​ are required to conduct work on overhead structures, including the dehumidification system on the main cable.

Monday, July 15 – 8:00pm – midnight

Tuesday, July 16 – 8:00pm – midnight

Wednesday, July 17 – 8:00pm – midnight

Thursday, July 18 – 8:00pm – midnight

MacKay Bridge

A series of weekend​ lane​ closures will begin the weekend of​ July 13th​ and continue until September. Weather depending, two lanes on the MacKay Bridge will be closed each weekend from 7pm Friday until 5:30 am Monday.

The lane closures are necessary to replace expansion joints at the abutments; replace waterproofing and asphalt on two of the four lanes of traffic and inspect the main cable.
