Pictou District RCMP wish to inform the public that the vehicle of a missing person was located by hikers in the MacLellan’s Mountain area of Pictou County on Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p.m.

Sadly, a deceased male was located inside by police. The male is believed to be Stephen Robert Willemse of MacLellan’s Brook who was reported missing on July 9. His family has been notified.

Police are continuing to investigate and are being assisted by the Medical Examiner’s office.
