Police have laid second degree murder charges in the deaths of two people in a house fire on Old Guysborough Rd.

earlier this week.

Investigators with the Homicide Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division charged 30-year-old Codey Reginald Hennigar from Wyses Corner with two counts of Second Degree Murder in the deaths of 81-year-old Clifford William Ward and 54-year-old Mildred Ann Ward, both from Wyses Corner. The cause of death of another person discovered inside the home remains under investigation.

Hennigar is appearing in Dartmouth Provincial Court today. The investigation continues.
