Update: Cyclist dies from injuries sustained in collision

A 59-year-old woman from Bible Hill has passed away due to injuries sustained in a collision in Central North River.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on July 20, a cyclist was injured when she was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle on Hwy. 311, just South of Upper Brookside Rd.

She suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital, then sent via LifeFlight for further medical treatment in Halifax.

The driver of the car was not injured. An RCMP Collision Analyst was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
