Update: Ellershouse barricaded person incident ends peacefully, Ellerhouse, N.S.

Windsor District RCMP advises the incident involving a barricaded man in a residence has ended peacefully.

At approximately 11:15 p.m last evening, the 63-year-old Ellershouse man was arrested without incident by members of the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT).

He surrendered to police and was taken for a medical assessment. He is in police custody at this time. A decision on charges has not been made.

The RCMP thanks local residents for their patience and cooperation. The investigation is continuing.
