Update: Fatal collision in Victoria County, Victoria County, N.S.

RCMP are releasing the name of a man killed in a fatal collision on Friday evening August 1st, 2014. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on August 1st, RCMP officers from Ingonish Beach, Inverness, Baddeck and Cheticamp detachments responded to a single vehicle crash on Highland Road in James Barren.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on August 1st, RCMP officers from Ingonish Beach, Inverness, Baddeck and Cheticamp detachments responded to a single vehicle crash on Highland Road in James Barren.

Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle left the road and then rolled. All three occupants traveling in a Chevrolet Silverado truck were ejected.

Malcolm ‘Max’ Angus Fraser, 59, from Middle River, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two occupants remain in hospital. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
