UPDATE – Fires – Dartmouth
18-73634 Fire (Fatality): At 3:35 a.m., 19 May, Integrated Emergency Service Dispatch received calls of a building on fire at 81 Primrose Street Dartmouth.
Halifax Regional Police responded to assist Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency with traffic control and scene security.
One fatality has been confirmed. The identity is not being released at this time until the next of kin have been notified.
Halifax Regional Police officers will remain on scene overnight to maintain streets closures for traffic around the building.
18-73650 Fire: At 5:15 a.m. Integrated Emergency Service Dispatch received calls of a building on fire at the corner of Robert Burns Drive and Brule Street Dartmouth.
Halifax Regional Police responded to assist Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency with traffic control and scene security.
No reported injuries. Currently officers are still on scene, however, all streets are open to traffic.
At this time both fire scenes are under Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. Should the investigations determine either fire is suspicious, the investigation will then be turned over to police to investigate.
