Update: Halifax District RCMP investigates violent robbery, Upper Sackville, N.S.

Police have charged three people following a robbery with violence that occurred on June 8 on Colgrove Ave. in Upper Sackville. Two armed men entered a residence at 5:15 a.m.

Police have charged three people following a robbery with violence that occurred on June 8 on Colgrove Ave. in Upper Sackville. Two armed men entered a residence at 5:15 a.m.

and tied up a 48-year-old man, a 44 year-old woman and a 13-year-old youth and then stole items from the home. The suspects then fled in a vehicle. The victims, who were not hurt during this incident, were able to free themselves to call police.

A short time later, police intercepted the suspect vehicle and arrested a 34-year-old man and a 21-year-old in Lower Sackville. The vehicle was seized and towed to a police compound. Further investigation determined two males had concealed themselves in the trunk and later exited the compound undetected. One of the two men has since been apprehended and arrested. Police are still seeking a fourth suspect. He is described as white male, approximately 6 ft tall, 165 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes.

Derek Thomas MacPhee, 34, Halifax, Erin Dawn Harlow, 21, Halifax, and Jason Halsey, 29, Dartmouth are facing the following charges of:
– Break and Enter
– Robbery
– Unlawful confinement
– Assault with a weapon
– Uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death
– Possession of stolen property over $5000
– Disguise with intent
– Theft of a Motor Vehicle

The investigation is ongoing.
