The RCMP Southwest Nova Major Crimes Unit has laid criminal charges against the 19-year-old driver after an on duty RCMP officer was struck by a vehicle.
Investigators have charged Cody Andrew Prudhomme of Falmouth with the following Criminal Code offences:
– Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm
– Assault with a Weapon
– Fail to Stop for Police
– Resist Arrest
– Dangerous Driving
Prudhomme has been remanded into custody.
He will appear in Windsor Provincial Court Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. The matter remains under investigation.
The 37-year-old male RCMP officer remains in hospital with non life-threatening injures.
