Update: Man wanted on province wide arrest warrant arrested, Halifax, N.S.

Nova Scotia RCMP is advising that 29-year-old Stephen Wade Tracey has been arrested and is now currently in police custody.

On January 5, 2015, Nova Scotia RCMP issued a notification that a province wide arrest warrant had been issued for Tracey that involved charges of Fraud, Forgery, Break and Enter and Possession of Stolen Property.

Tracey has been involved in crimes involving identity theft and cheque fraud, often with a female accomplice. The female accomplice was arrested on December 19, 2015 in New Brunswick and remains in police custody.

Tracey was arrested yesterday afternoon at approximately 4:00 p.m. in a vehicle on Almon St. with the assistance of Halifax Regional Police and the Military Police. Tracey will be attending Kentville Provincial Court today to face numerous fraud related offences.

Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in the apprehension of Tracey. The investigation is continuing.
