Police release identity of the victim: Update: Police can now confirm the identify of the victim is Triston Reece (19 yrs), of Halifax. Our thoughts are with his family.
Update: Shortly after midnight the victim, an adult male (19 yrs) from Halifax, passed away. The name of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
The investigation is now a Homicide. There is no suspect(s) information at this time. Traffic has been re-opened on Scot Street.
Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 902-490-5020.

At 5:35 p.m. 26 July, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a male shot in the 7100 block of Scot Street, Halifax. Multiple officers responded to the scene and located an adult male with life threatening injuries. Multiple officers are on scene.
The investigation is in the early stages and the Major Crime Unit and General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.
