Update: Police lay charges in forcible confinement case, Porters Lake, N.S.

Police have laid several charges against a 19-year-old Dartmouth man and a 17-year-old Dartmouth female youth in relation to an incident that occurred on Monday evening.

Javon Dominick Steed is facing charges of Robbery with a Firearm, Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Kidnapping, Uttering Threats and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

He remains in custody at this time.

The female youth is facing charges of Robbery, Kidnapping and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon in a Vehicle. She remains in custody at this time. Police anticipate more charges to be laid against the accused. They will appear in Dartmouth Court later on today.

Police are still looking for a second male suspect in relation to this incident. The investigation is continuing.
