Police have located the missing 17-year-old female.

Earlier today, Shelley Mae Barber was located in Halifax by the Halifax Regional Police. She was unharmed and is safe.

She had been last seen in North River, Colchester County after leaving for school on the morning of May 1st, 2014.

Investigators believed that Barber was corresponding with friends via social media sites indicating that she is in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
