UPDATE: Precautionary Boil Water Advisory in Effect for Middle Musquodoboit

(April 23, 2024) Halifax Water crews continue to work in Middle Musquodoboit and are asking customers to conserve water consumption to help reduce demand on the system. Crews continue to work in the area, and there will be stop-and-go traffic in the work zone. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to manage traffic flows.

Halifax Water continues to advise customers in this area that there is a possibility of unsafe drinking water for customers in the area(s) described in this notice. Please use the link below to access an interactive map that can help you determine if your property is within the area impacted by this advisory: (halifaxwater.ca/water-service)

We advise that impacted customers boil all water for at least 1 minute before using water for:

* drinking
* preparing infant formula
* making ice cubes or juices
* washing fruits or vegetables
* cooking
* brushing teeth; or
* any other activity requiring human consumption.

Halifax Water continues to monitor the water quality and is working in close consultation with Nova Scotia Environment and the Medical Officer of Health. Halifax Water will provide updates and when the precautionary boil advisory is removed as information is available.
